Leprechaun Munch for St. Patrick’s Day!

Who's ready for St. Patrick's Day? I love St. Patrick's Day! And, I love everything about St. Patrick's Day . . . especially the food!!! And this year, I made a new snack, Leprechaun Munch, for my kids and grandkids. The original recipe is from a Monster Munch I did for Halloween.  I just substituted a few ingredients and had a new treat! My son, Jason, likes Munch! When I made the Monster Munch, I gave some to my youngest son, Jason. He LOVED it!!! So, when St. Patrick's Day was coming, I wanted to make the munch again and give some, not only to Jason, but to all my children and grandchildren. My three grown children all were born in March, so I try to have them all come for a dinner together. This year, I made them "goodie boxes" … [Read more...]

Mama’s Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup!

Mama's Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup . . . yummy! For years Mama has made her Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup. She created the recipe herself, having combined several she liked into this one. So, when I wanted homemade soup Sunday night, I decided to make this soup of hers. There are several attributes to this soup that makes it a "keeper" for a quick lunch or dinner: It's ready to eat in about 30 minutes, if you already have cooked chicken on hand. It's a one-pot meal. It has a lot of ingredients in it that make this a quick and easy choice. It's versatile. You can change the vegetables, change the tomatoes and change the noodles to create your own version. I took quite a few pictures of Mama's soup, and Facebook created a … [Read more...]

Quick and Easy Spinach Dip for Mama!

Spinach Dip for Mama! When I got to Mama's last week, she said she wanted me to take her to the local grocery store because she wanted to make Spinach Dip. And nothing would have it except I take her to get the ingredients and help her make some Spinach Dip. That's my Mama! Making the Spinach Dip . . .
