Smothered Cube Steaks Recipe, a favorite comfort food!

Smothered Cube Steaks with gravy and onions is one of my favorite comfort foods. My Grandmama Hall and my Mama both made it. Serve with homemade mashed potatoes for a "made in heaven" dinner! Smothered Cube Steaks is comfort food to me! Nothing says "comfort food" to me like Smothered Cube Steaks. My Grandmama Hall used to make this a lot, served it with mashed potatoes and English Peas. She served EVERYTHING with English peas! I loved the tender pieces of meat covered with the creamy gravy and sautéed onions. Looking for a hearty one-pot meal? If you are looking for a hearty one-pot meal, this Old-Fashioned Beef Stew is the one for you! It is full of tender beef chunks simmered in a tasty beef broth with chunks of potatoes and carrots . . . a complete meal in a dish! When my children were young, I would make this stew from time to time. Filet Mignon with Dijon Mustard Sauce, a Delicious Entree!

Filet Mignon for the Birthday Dinner! When I was planning the Birthday Dinner for my children, Candace suggested I make Filet Mignon with Dijon Mustard Sauce as the entree. I made this for her family several years ago, and my son-in-law, Randy, LOVED it! In fact, Candace says he still talks about it . . . that it was the best filet mignon he ever had! Wow! How could I not make this dish for the big birthday celebration??? But, with 14 people coming, the cost of individual filets came up in the conversation. Swedish Meatballs for an easy main dish!

 Swedish Meatballs . . . easy and delicious! Swedish Meatballs was not a dish that anyone in my family ever made. But, as I was looking through a cookbook I bought years ago,  I found a recipe for them. And, since I had some ground beef, it seemed the perfect time to try them!
