3 Ingredient Cream Biscuits . . . In case you haven't notices, I'm kinda on a "3 Ingredient" kick, and these 3 Ingredient Cream Biscuits are terrific! Much better, in fact, than I had thought. But anything made with heavy cream is great, don't you think? I first saw this recipe on Pinterest. Then I got an email with this recipe in it from Melissa's Southern Style Kitchen. Liza Ashley’s Baking Powder Biscuits, a quick bread for dinner!

Baking Powder vs. Buttermilk Biscuits? I have never made baking powder biscuits. I have always made buttermilk biscuits because that's what my Grandmama Hall would make. But, I always wanted to try the biscuits made with baking powder to see if there was much difference. I found a recipe in my Liza Ashley cookbook, "Thirty Years at the Mansion", for baking powder biscuits and decided to try it. Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, or Anytime! In the last couple of weeks, I realized that I have been sharing a lot of my Grandmama Hall's recipes--her Goulash, her Buttermilk Pancakes, her Chocolate Sheet Cake, and many more! Some were in a recent post, "If You Could Host Just One Awesome Sunday Dinner This Fall". Our first Family Heritage cookbook, "To Grandmama's House We Go", is full of her recipes! Grandmama’s Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe

It's National Biscuit Month! In honor of National Biscuit Month, I am sharing my Grandmama Hall's Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe. Grandmama Hall on her 90th birthday in 1989. Grandmama Hall was a bread maker extraordinaire! From the age of 16, Grandmama Hall baked all kinds of breads: yeast rolls, biscuits, cornbread, hoe cakes, fruit breads. Her family lived in Egan, South Dakota, until she was 17. While there, she would bake bread and sell it to the farmers during harvest. A year later, they moved to Arkansas because of her dad's health. I had asked her to teach me how to make her biscuits while she was still living, but, that didn't happen. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 93.
