Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup for dinner! I grew up on Mama's Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup. So, today, I decided it was time to make a pot and enjoy the first pot of this hearty Vegetable Beef Soup of the season. And, since Jennifer and Trey, my daughter-in-law and son, were under the weather, and Bethany, my granddaughter was home not feeling well, I thought this soup would "hit the spot", which it did, when I took it to them for their dinner! Mama’s Vegetable Beef Soup Recipe. . .

Today has been quite chilly! Today has been quite chilly! The temperature showed 39 degrees when I went to the grocery store around 10:00 this morning. That kind of weather usually doesn't occur here in central Arkansas until up in December or January! Needless to say, I pondered what I could cook that would "warm us up"! Mama and Grandmama Hall's soup. . . When I was growing up, both my Mama and my Grandmama Hall would make their Vegetable-Beef Soup with a roast beef. I can remember the aroma of that  soup cooking when I would come home, or in the case of my Grandmama, when I would walk through the side door into her kitchen.
