Oreo Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies, YUM!!!

Hubby's new favorite cookie, Oreo Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies! Lynn is on an Oreo Cookie kick! Every time I turn around, he has gone to the grocery store, and bought ANOTHER package of Oreos. So, when an Oreo cookie recipe came across my email from another blogger, I thought, "OK, it's time to try to make homemade cookies using some of those Oreo cookies!" School Days! The new school year began Monday morning. And, with school starting, our thoughts turn toward After School Snacks. After all, every child is hungry when he or she gets home from school. Making the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies with Randa. . . I first shared this post when Randa was 8 years old. Now she is 10. Wow . . . I can't believe two years has past since we first made these delicious Chocolate Chip cookies! (Randa today) Grandchildren are such a blessing! And I am very blessed! Randa and I have since baked cookies many times . . . so much so that she now can make this recipe by herself! I say that is quite an accomplishment:) She is such a sweetheart! Oatmeal Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies . . . When you have a lot of M&M candies and need to do something with them, what do you do? Well . . . I decided to use mine to make a new cookie recipe, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies. I had seen a recipe on Bake or Break, that was similar, using brown sugar, but no M&M’s. Since I didn’t have milk chocolate chips, I substituted the M&M’s for that ingredient in her recipe, then added a few on top before baking them. Overall, the cookies were quite tasty with crunch of the traditional oatmeal cookies, but with the chocolate of the chips and M&M’s for the chocolate freaks in the family!
