The surprise is in the brownies! One day, Randa and I made these Snowy Candy Surprise Brownies. It was winter, and at the time, I was working on my "Winter Wonderland of Sweets" e-book. Heavenly White Salad Recipe, a salad for Christmas!

Mama and I made this Heavenly White Salad for our Family Christmas Dinner. It is a modernized version of Grandmama Hall's White Salad, without the cabbage and cooked dressing. Still delicious, and much easier!   Heavenly White Salad . . . Mama's favorite! This Heavenly White Salad is one of Mama's absolute favorite fruit salads! Snickerdoodle Cookies, a classic Christmas cookie!

These classic "sugar and spice" cookies are a perfect choice for Christmas. They are easy to make, and SO good! A Classic Christmas Cookie . . . Snickerdoodles! When my children were small,  Snickerdoodles cookies were one of our favorite sweet treats. The recipe for the Snickerdoodles was in a cookbook by Liza Ashley entitled, "Thirty Years At The Mansion". This cookbook included recipes from her thirty years as the cook at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock, Arkansas. At the time, I think Bill Clinton was the Governor.
