Baby, it's COLD outside!!! Time for Crispy Treat Snowballs! Y'all, winter has officially arrived, weather-wise, in central Arkansas! We had our first snow of the season this morning. 1-2 inches!!! I know for my friends in the northern states, that's laughable. But for us in the south . . . well . . . schools closed, streets are slick . . . people are staying home in front of their fireplaces. Need I say more??? It IS cold . . . 14 degrees as I type this post. That's cold for us. Just saying! These Snowy Chocolate Kiss Cookies are a lucious treat for snowy days.  Snowy Chocolate "Kiss" Cookies . . . a winter treat! Because of the recent influx of winter weather, I know some of you are "enjoying" snow. So, I decided to share some of my "snowy" desserts this week. Mama’s Glazed Apple Cookies!

Mama's Glazed Apple Cookies are the absolute best! She makes hers with homemade applesauce, but you can use store-bought. The cookies are moist and delicious with every bite! The best apple cookies ever! Mama's Glazed Apple Cookies are the best apple cookies you'll ever eat! Her original recipe calls for HOMEMADE applesauce, which she usually makes. But when she and I made these cookies last Friday, she used store-bought applesauce. That's a first. Snickerdoodle Cookies, a classic Christmas cookie!

These classic "sugar and spice" cookies are a perfect choice for Christmas. They are easy to make, and SO good! A Classic Christmas Cookie . . . Snickerdoodles! When my children were small,  Snickerdoodles cookies were one of our favorite sweet treats. The recipe for the Snickerdoodles was in a cookbook by Liza Ashley entitled, "Thirty Years At The Mansion". This cookbook included recipes from her thirty years as the cook at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock, Arkansas. At the time, I think Bill Clinton was the Governor. Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies, perfect for the holidays!

Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies for Hanukkah and Christmas! Last week, we hosted a Hanukkah Dinner Party. One of the cookies I made for this dinner was these Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies, which I found on a Jewish website about foods for Hanukkah. I think I already posted, we are not Jews, but my husband and I did a several year Hebrew study and learned a lot about the different Jewish holidays an dfeasts. As Christians, we celebrate Christmas. But, there are quite a few Jewish holidays that are fun to celebrate and have a message that points to Jesus, as does Hanukkah.
